Collaborating to Offer the Benefits of Evidence-based, Evidence-informed, and Innovative Mindfulness Programs

The Mindfulness Center at Brown (MCB) and the Mindfulness and Health Institute (MHI) collaborate on Mindfulness-Based College for Young Adults an evidence-based and evidence-informed mindfulness program offered in a student-centered setting.

The Mindfulness Center at Brown University brings together outstanding researchers, scholars and educators  with the mission to: (1) conduct rigorous, empirically driven research about the effects of mindfulness on health; and (2) translate research findings into innovative, cutting-edge teaching for Brown students and beyond.

The Mindfulness and Health Institute offers mindfulness programs and events including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), retreats, and other innovative and traditional mindfulness programs. The Mindfulness and Health Institute works cooperatively with researchers at the Mindfulness Center at Brown and with other researchers to continue inquiry into mindfulness programs.

Our collective goals are to research and offer programs that improve individual lives, further the dissemination of these programs through direct program offerings, training teachers, and organizational effectiveness.

We hope you will join us on this journey of discovery.
