Advising & Information Sessions

Have questions about an MHI course or wondering where to begin? Our free advising and information sessions offer an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and speak directly with someone from MHI.

Information Session

Thinking about taking a course with MHI? An information session is an opportunity to learn more before you decide.

Meet an MHI instructor or team member, get a clearer picture of what the program actually involves, and ask the questions that are difficult to answer from a course page alone. We’ll talk about what you’ll be learning and practicing, how the course is structured, what’s expected between classes, and who the program may be a good fit for. We can also help clarify prerequisites, teacher training pathways, or the differences between programs that may seem similar.

Information sessions are free to attend and typically last 45 minutes. There’s plenty of time for questions, and you’re welcome to come and go as needed. There’s no expectation to register afterward.

Come with questions, or simply come to listen. The goal is to give you the information you need to decide whether an MHI program feels right for you.

Advising Sessions

Not sure where to begin? Let’s figure it out together.

There are many ways into mindfulness, and just as many ways to continue exploring it. Finding the right course isn’t always about choosing the most advanced program or the one that sounds most interesting. It’s about finding a good fit for where you are, what you’re curious about, and what you hope to explore.

Our free 15-minute advising sessions give you a chance to talk one-on-one with someone from MHI. Tell us what brings you here, what experience you already have, what you’re hoping to learn, or where you’re feeling unsure. We know our programs well, and we can help you understand the differences between them, answer your questions, and explore what might make sense as a next step.

You don’t need to arrive knowing which course you want to take. That’s what the conversation is for.

Sometimes the answer will be one of our courses. Sometimes it may be to start somewhere else, continue with your current practice, or simply take some time before deciding.

What matters to us is helping you find a next step that makes sense for you.
