“This course was an enriching experience and has given me inspiration I’ve been experimenting with ever since. As a newcomer to the ideas, I arrived feeling a bit intimidated but was instantly put at ease by the tutor’s approach. On signing-up I was mostly looking at starting points for dealing with the challenge, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I gained around embracing the positive.”

What is the Weekly Overview of Introducing Mindfulness?

The Introducing Mindfulness curriculum presented here serves as a general overview and is subject to potential modifications based on the unique needs, insights, and discussions that may arise during class.

Week 1: Paying attention, on purpose, with curiosity and care
How to train your attention and how this can fundamentally shape your experiences.

Week 2: Perspective - learning new ways of being
Learning new ways of being and how this can help support you in any moment.

Week 3: Responding skillfully
Recognizing the difference between responding and reacting and exploring how this understanding can shape the quality of your life.

What can I expect?

Each of the sessions will include guided mindfulness practices and exercises. These are followed by a discussion about any learning that can be drawn from the experience.

Between each session, you’ll be invited to continue to do some ‘personal practice’ each day – usually for a total of 15-20 minutes. This includes following recordings of guided mindfulness practices and bringing mindfulness into your everyday experiences.

You will have access to guided practices and written material to support your learning from each session.
