Free Live Online Guided Mindfulness Meditations

Why Practice Together?
Mindfulness can be practiced alone, but practicing with others offers something different.
It can remind us of something easy to lose sight of: many of the experiences we think of as uniquely ours are also part of being human. Our circumstances may be very different, but attention wanders. Stress happens. Things change. We experience uncertainty, joy, disappointment, connection, loss, and countless ordinary moments in between.
People join our online meditations from around the world. On any given day, you might practice alongside someone across town, across the country, or on another continent.
You don’t need to share anything or know the people practicing beside you for community to matter. Simply practicing together can offer a sense of support and common humanity: our experiences are our own, but we don’t have to explore them entirely alone.
Come As You Are
You don’t need to feel calm before you meditate. You don’t need to clear your mind, sit perfectly still, or be particularly good at concentrating.
In fact, noticing distraction, restlessness, thinking, emotion, physical sensation, or the urge to be doing something else can all be part of mindfulness practice.
We begin with the experience that’s actually here.
Mindfulness isn’t about producing a particular state of mind. It involves learning to pay attention to our experience with greater awareness and curiosity, and noticing how we relate and respond to what we find.
Some days practice may feel settling. Other days it may not. Both can teach us something.
So when we say come as you are, we mean it. No special state of mind required. We’ll meet you where you are.
What to Expect
There’s nothing special you need to do or bring. Find a place where you can practice, join us online, and your instructor or facilitator will guide you from there.
Our instructors and facilitators aim to make practices accessible and will often offer different ways to participate. You may sit in a chair or on a cushion, stand, lie down, move, keep your eyes open or closed, or make other adjustments that support you.
There is no single right way to participate.
When possible, we encourage cameras to be on. Seeing one another helps create a sense of community when we gather online. We also understand that this isn’t possible or comfortable for everyone at all times. We trust you to make the choice that best supports your participation and the greater community on any given day.
Practice on Your Own Schedule
Come every week. Drop in occasionally. Join for 15 minutes between meetings or make a longer practice part of your week.
There’s no attendance requirement, no commitment, and nothing to catch up on. Each session stands on its own, so you can join whenever it works for you.
Choose a session, show up as you are, and practice with us when you can.
More Than a Guided Meditation
We want people to have opportunities to practice mindfulness, learn about it, ask questions, and explore it with others without cost being a barrier.
That’s why our community offerings go beyond guided meditation.
Every Monday at 5:30pm ET, we gather to explore the week’s Mindful Monday topic together. We begin with conversation and reflection, then move into guided practice. Because we can learn a great deal about mindfulness, but thinking about mindfulness isn’t the same as experiencing it.
These gatherings create space for both: learning together and exploring mindfulness through direct experience.
Made Possible by Our Volunteers
Our free community practices are possible because volunteers generously share their time, training, and experience with our community.
Their generosity allows us to offer multiple opportunities to practice throughout the week and brings together people from different places, backgrounds, and levels of experience.
We’re deeply grateful to the volunteers who help make these practices available to everyone.
Help Make Mindfulness More Accessible
Our community meditations and discussions are always free to attend.
If you’d like to support broader efforts to make mindfulness education and practice more accessible, we invite you to make an optional donation to the Mindfulness and Health Foundation.
