The Mindfulness Lab
Part life experiment, part playground for the mind. A space to grow, one "experiment" at a time. Each Lab is hosted by instructors with backgrounds in psychology and neuroscience research.
Come find your curosity.
What is Mindfulness Lab?
Mindfulness Lab is built around a simple idea: you learn the most by trying something yourself and paying attention to what actually happens.
So instead of being told what to feel, you get to ask your own questions: What happens if I try this? Does it help? What gets in the way? Then you find out, through your own experience, not someone else's description of it.
Think of it as the scientific method, turned toward your very own life. Except instead of a lab coat, just bring your curiosity. There's no right way to do it, no gold star for getting it "correct," and nothing to get wrong. You can't fail the experiment. There's only what you notice.
Each Lab is hosted by two of our instructors with backgrounds in psychology and neuroscience.
Our approach
We believe in being alive, and knowing it. Our work is grounded in the research of psychology and neuroscience, used not as abstraction but as a way of paying closer attention to your own direct experience.
Much of what gets in our own way isn't obvious. The mind adds layers, interpretations, habits, and old stories, often without our noticing. Mindfulness Lab is a space to gently uncover those layers, so you can meet your experience more directly, and get in your own way a little less.
How it works
- Single sessions. Each Lab is a standalone, 2-hour experience. No ongoing commitment required.
- Practices that grow with you. Every Lab gives you something concrete you can start using right away, then keep returning to and building on over time.
- Room to grow. Nothing here is about getting it right immediately. It's about tending something over time, and seeing what changes.
- New themes, regularly. Every Lab explores something different, giving you new practices to try, one experiment at a time.
- Live and interactive. Sessions include teaching, guided practice, and group discussion, so you're exploring alongside others, not just watching.
- No experience needed. Come as you are. Every Lab meets you where you are, whether you're brand new to practice or have been at this for years.
Who is this for?
Mindfulness Lab is for the curious. You might be here because:
- You've never tried mindfulness before, and want a low-pressure way to see what it's about.
- You've practiced for years, and want to explore something new alongside a group.
- You've taken one of our courses before, and want to keep your practice active between sessions.
- You're not sure mindfulness is "for you," and want to find out for yourself, rather than take someone else's word for it.
Wherever you're starting from, you're welcome here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any prior mindfulness experience?
No. Each Mindfulness Lab is designed to welcome first-timers and experienced practitioners alike.
What if I can't make a live session?
Mindfulness Lab sessions are best experienced live, since they include real-time group discussion and guided practice. If a recording or additional resources are available for a specific Lab, you'll have access to them after the session.
Is this the same as your courses?
Not quite. Mindfulness Lab sessions are single, standalone experiences focused on one theme at a time, while our 6-week courses go deeper into sustained practice over time. Labs are also designed to complement course learning, giving you a way to keep your practice active and supported between courses, or after one has ended.
Do I need to keep my camera on?
Yes, please plan to join with your camera on. Seeing each other's faces is part of what makes this a shared practice space, not just a lecture.
